Favorite 80s/90s Music: New Kids On The Block
Talking about old vibes for a young person like me won't add up much. Born in the mid 90s, I only remembered things I heard in the early 2000s without knowing what they actually were. As in music, I just recognized the song titles and the singers when I grew up. I was like" I heard this when I was a kid, I just didn't know who sang this". Those happened to hits music that I often heard on radio and TV.
There is this band, a boyband, that had their first album in 1986. I wasn't even born, my parents weren't married yet. New Kids On The Block. I started listening to them in 2014. The first song that pulled my interest was You Got It (The Right Stuff). I watched the video on Youtube. This song was in their second album that released in 1988. I still wasn't born and my parents hadn't met yet.
I started to look up their other songs and I listened to their whole albums since the first one 'til the latest. Although not all of the songs are my favorite, I actually like the music. The album that has more songs I like was called 'Face the Music'. It was released in 1994, the year I was born. Yay. My top favorite song is 'Never Let You Go'. I like most of the songs on this album than the other albums that I only like the 3 or 4 songs.
The 'Face the Music' album was the last 90s album of theirs. Since that album was released, NKOTB hadn't released new music until the mid of 2000s. I also listen to the lead singer's, Jordan Knight, solo music. He had his first album in 1999.
I honestly prefer this kind of music to nowadays music. Despite the fact that I only heard this music lately, I was glad that I found it.
